WESTLAKE, Ohio, May 13, 2025 — CommuteAir, an exclusive regional airline partner of United Airlines, is proud to announce the grand opening of its new corporate headquarters in the Cleveland suburb of Westlake, Ohio. A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held to commemorate the grand opening of the new facility.
The move to Westlake marks a significant milestone for the 35-year-old regional airline. As the only commercial airline headquartered in Northeast Ohio, the company will bring 200 jobs to the area, reinforcing its commitment to local economic development, as well as its growing role in the regional airline industry.
Since relocating to its previous North Olmsted, Ohio office in 2019, CommuteAir has experienced a 60% increase in fleet size, prompting the need for a more modern and collaborative workspace. The new headquarters adds about 5% more square footage in a more efficient layout, tailored to support team collaboration. Its location near the retail, dining, and amenities of Crocker Park is also designed to help attract and retain top talent.
CommuteAir also announced it has executed an extension to its contract with United Airlines to continue to operate the 50-seat Embraer ERJ145 aircraft through the end of 2028.

Also on hand for the grand opening were representatives from the City of Westlake, the Greater Cleveland Partnership, and the Westshore Chamber of Commerce. Other local business and community leaders, along with CommuteAir employees, also attended the celebration.
