CommuteAir Announces Rebrand as Part of Aggressive Growth Strategy

CommuteAir, a leading regional airline carrier and the sole ERJ-145 operator for the United Express network, today announced the launch of its new organization-wide rebrand as part of the airline’s competitive growth position as an innovative aviation player.

Founded in 1989, CommuteAir has experienced exponential growth in recent years, reflected in the company’s expanding fleet, workforce, and operational innovation.

“We are excited to reveal the CommuteAir rebrand as yet another advantage to our competitive position—not only as a leading carrier for United Express, but as a home with the right culture for rising aviation talent,” said Rick Hoefling, CommuteAir President and CEO.

The high visibility change marks CommuteAir’s renewed commitment to community, mentorship, training, and growth for employees in addition to the brand itself. The new brand emphasizes CommuteAir’s mission to help aviation professionals expedite their careers with direct flow to United Airlines.

“The new brand identity for CommuteAir reflects what we’ve always sought to contribute as an aviation leader,” said Joel Raymond, CommuteAir Executive Vice President and COO. “We continue to invest in our team members who fuel our future, and we embrace our vibrant culture of diverse professionals.  The innovation and spirit of our team will continue to keep us flying above the competition.”

CommuteAir’s rebrand follows the company’s announcement of a new contract with pilots in the Air Line Pilots Association (ALPA). The agreement offers deeper incentives for prospective employees, including significant improvements to pay, benefits, and quality of life. Highlighted incentives are as follows:

  • Starting First Officer wages – $72/hr with $25,000 annual bonus.
  • Starting Captain wages – $100/hr with $50,000 annual bonus
  • Commuting program to include company-sponsored travel to/from home to work
  • Up to six commuter hotel rooms per bid
  • Employee 401K contributions up to 16% matched 50% by the company
  • Sign on bonus program up to $50,000 for Direct Entry Captains
  • 1:1 Longevity pay credit up to 20 years for new hires with prior FAR 121 industry experience

The new tangible benefits, alongside CommuteAir’s company culture, attract top-class talent. With diversity initiatives, generous employment benefits for all employees, and a family atmosphere, the organization is quickly becoming one of the most popular career destinations for aviation professionals.
